Driver / Installer
Overall Position Description:
The Driver/Furniture Installer will load, unload and install office furniture products. The driver will transport products from CWC’s Warehouse for delivery and installation at our customer sites. Must follow all safety procedures and take all precautions to prevent product damage.
Responsibilities:
∙Safely operate a 26ft. box truck, following all safety rules and driving laws.
∙Adhere to the daily route determined by Operations Route Scheduler & Supervisor.
∙Load, unload, and install office furniture as desks, files, chairs, and other items at client locations.
∙Measure, install, and repair products at customer sites.
∙Maintain original paperwork on each delivery/job and submit this daily.
∙Learn and understand the correct application and use of the products you are handling.
∙Contact the Supervisor immediately if involved in an accident.
Requirements:
∙High School Diploma or GED; one to three months related experience and/or training.
∙Valid driver’s license.
∙Must pass or have a DOT license.
∙Has an acceptable driving record (motor vehicle record).
∙Ability to drive CWC trucks and vans using the Company safety program.
∙Ability to lift and move furniture, boxes, and equipment - 50+ lbs.
Must have the following tools:
o Toolbox
o 12V Battery Powered Drill with a backup battery
o Phillips, star, and square drill bits
o ¼ “& 3/8 “adaptor for sockets in drill
o Allen Wrench set
o Slotted and Phillips Screwdriver Sets – (at least 3 of each type)
o Pliers – regular, needle nose, and vice grip
o Pry Bar
o Torpedo Level – 9”
o Measuring Tape – 25’
o Hammer – 16 oz.
o Mallet – 36 oz. minimum – non-marking
o Duplex Tester
o Hacksaw
o Retractable utility knife
