design comment/challenges: To design a new focal point and entry to the University’s main campus. The new building needed to harmonize with the existing buildings and materials.
client desires: The entry is defined by large, three-story glass atrium providing a thoroughfare to other buildings. The building is three stories on one side and two stories on the other to accomodate for the visibility of the iconic clock tower.
