During his time as an instructor at the California College of Art, designer Brian Kane observed how students interacted with furniture in public spaces on campus. They perched on arms. They sprawled out. Very few of them sat in a traditional way. This observation inspired a versatile and fluid design response, which became Swoop Lounge Furniture. The sweeping curve of Swoop's seating components was designed to make the furniture comfortable for many different sitting positions.
